Waseem Mirza is an award-winning British Tech Presenter and Reporter. He started working for BBC News as a TV Journalist while he was in his final year at the University of Lincoln. Before graduating he was hired by BBC World as their first TV Researcher for the BBC’s flagship technology brand: Click.

AS A SPEAKER: Waseem’s interests in tech include artificial intelligence, smart home and smart gadgets, and how they could save consumers money, and the metaverse and how it could change the way we all live and work. He’s also passionate about about how child victims of crime need more real-life superhero’s, and is proud to be an Ambassador for British charity: Embrace Child Victims of Crime.

AS A JOURNALIST: He has won industry recognition for his work in British Television Journalism and more recently has appeared in award-winning productions for Network Rail, the mental health charity Chasing The Stigma, and The Open University. The latter film: “Beyond Belief: talking to the dead” won scores of awards on the international film festival circuit.

ACTOR: He is also a somewhat of a thespian, having landed his debut international screen acting role in “Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler” for Warner Bros. He can next be seen marking his first Principal Cast role in a Netflix smash-hit drama in 2024 and an appearance for a forthcoming limited special event drama, based on real-life events.

LOCATION: Waseem divides his time between Britain’s newest city – Milton Keynes – first to introduce autonomous robot home shopping and delivery, and London.
