Swarzy is a London-based TV and radio broadcaster known for her impactful presence in the media industry. She currently hosts BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Weekend Breakfast Show and has contributed to BBC Sounds and BBC Radio 5 Live. Her career began with a national competition win with KISS, which led her to become the KISS Chosen One presenter, eventually hosting KISS Breakfast and interviewing major pop icons like Dua Lipa and Pink.
During the pandemic and in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, Swarzy launched KISS Life, the station’s first-ever speech radio show. This groundbreaking program allowed her to engage in important conversations with listeners, showcasing her versatility as a host. She also became the official presenter of My Life My Say’s Quarantine Question Time, interviewing figures such as Sir Keir Starmer and Sadiq Khan.
Beyond her broadcasting career, Swarzy is a passionate community leader. She founded Too Much Source, an annual exhibition celebrating Black British creatives, and has worked with brands and organizations to host workshops, live events, and panel discussions. Her love for sports led her to present “From The Corner” on JOE Media and cover British basketball with the Community Basketball League.
Swarzy’s achievements have earned her recognition, including the Best Presenter award at the UK Entertainment Awards in 2021 and a spot as one of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Black History Month Next Generation Trailblazers in 2020. She kicked off 2022 by hosting the London New Year’s Day Parade live on TV.
