After graduating from Boston University with a degree in journalism, Samuel Scott began his first career in Massachusetts covering city and state politics and regional events for local newspapers including The Boston Globe and The Patriot Ledger before becoming editor-in-chief and executive director of the non-profit newspaper Spare Change News.
Then, he moved to Tel Aviv to start working in marketing in the high-tech startup industry while also later getting a Mini-MBA in marketing and brand management from Marketing Week in London, a Master of Advertising Effectiveness from the World Advertising Research Center (WARC), and certifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK (CIM UK) in marcom planning and B2B product marketing.
In his marketing career, he worked in various agency roles before moving in house to positions that have included Head of Marketing at Faddom, Director of Marketing at Logz.io, and Digital Marketing Manager at SenseIP.
Since 2016, he has combined his expertises in journalism and marketing to serve as both The Promotion Fix columnist for The Drum, the global marketing industry trade publication, and as a global keynote marketing speaker and corporate trainer.
He uses his dual experiences as a journalist and marketer to write and speak about marketing with the neutral mindset of someone who has nothing to sell except his ideas. As a member of Toastmasters International, Samuel aims to be both insightful and entertaining.
