BIO

Rob Pope is the real-life Forrest Gump.

When most people think of running an incredibly long way, they think of one person—Forrest Gump. Rob turned that movie legend into reality. To honour a promise to his mother to “do one thing in your life that makes a difference,” he set out on the longest run in U.S. history.

He ran 15,621 miles across 43 states over 422 days. He wore out 33 pairs of shoes. When it was done, he was, in his own words, “pretty tired.” Then he went home—with his feet just about intact.

Rob’s achievements don’t stop there. He holds two world records, won the 2015 Australian Men’s Marathon Championship, and was the top Northern European in the brutal Marathon des Sables. He also became the first person to run across Ireland in a single day. And he’s not done yet—more epic adventures are in the works.

Rob is also a proud dad and a practicing vet. He shared his remarkable journey in his best-selling book, Becoming Forrest, published by HarperCollins. He also hosts Red Bull’s acclaimed podcast How to Be Superhuman.

Today, Rob inspires audiences in the public sector, corporate world, and academia. He brings lessons in resilience, focus, and dream-chasing to the stage. He shows how to thrive under pressure and turn challenges into growth.

As a keynote speaker, Rob has delivered powerful, uplifting talks for organisations like Zoetis, WWF, Armis, and Vets4Pets, as well as schools and universities across the UK. His story sparks change. His energy is contagious. And his message is simple: Be More Forrest—and make your world better.
