BIO

Orla Chennaoui is a multilingual TV sports presenter, journalist, and event host. Fluent in French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, she brings a global perspective to her work. Her career bridges hard news and sports, giving her reporting both depth and energy.

Currently, Orla serves as a Lead Presenter for TNT Sports and Discovery/Eurosport/GCN. Her coverage spans cycling, rugby, MotoGP, the Olympics, and more. She moves seamlessly between studio analysis and on-location reporting, bringing clarity and passion to each broadcast.

Her work in cycling has taken her to the heart of the sport. She has covered multiple Tours de France, Giros d’Italia, and Vueltas a España, as well as the Olympic Games in London, Rio, and Tokyo. Today, she presents Grand Tours and major races from The Cube, a cutting-edge studio in London that offers fans a front-row seat to the action.

During winter, Orla shifts gears to rugby on TNT Sports. She delivers pitch-side insights and interviews alongside iconic figures like Lawrence Dallaglio, creating a dynamic connection between the audience and the game.

Orla’s roots in investigative journalism shape her thoughtful approach to sports broadcasting. Her experience gives her a firm grasp of the facts while allowing her to tell compelling, human-centred stories. Over time, she has developed a strong voice across a wide range of sports.

In 2019, she became Eurosport’s lead cycling presenter, working with Sir Bradley Wiggins to host live coverage and daily highlights for cycling’s biggest races. Since 2020, she has presented The Breakaway, a studio-based show that brings fans closer to the race in real time.

Her presence was central to Discovery/Eurosport’s coverage of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Alongside Wiggins, Greg Rutherford, and others, she brought the games to life, sharing dramatic sporting moments and powerful athlete interviews.

Later that year, she hosted the launch of the UCI Track Champions League, broadcasting live from velodromes in Mallorca, Lithuania, and the UK. She returned to lead coverage for the 2022 series, reinforcing her role as a trusted voice in cycling.

Outside the studio, Orla remains active in journalism and podcasting. She co-hosts The Cycling Podcast Feminin and writes columns for Rouleur and the Metro. In 2020, she guest-edited Rouleur Issue 101, a special women’s edition that remains the magazine’s best-selling issue.

Her passion for deeper conversations led her to launch The Breakdown podcast in 2022, alongside Olympian Greg Rutherford. Each episode explores the elements of success, the challenges we all face, and the unifying power of sport.

Orla also thrives in live event settings. She regularly hosts events like Rouleur Live and works with brands including Kia, Shimano, Ford, and Adidas—offering insights, sharing stories, and inspiring others within the sporting world.

In early 2023, she launched Ten Times Braver (TTB)—a personal venture and supportive community focused on overcoming fear, building confidence, and taking bold steps forward. This project reflects Orla’s wider mission: helping others find courage, both in sport and in life.
