Michael Dodd, an international speaker, author, and former broadcast journalist, equips audiences to give great answers to tough questions. He draws on his years as a political and foreign correspondent, where he earned a reputation for asking challenging questions.
Michael sharpened his skills at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, interviewing politicians in the Parliamentary Press Gallery in Canberra. He traveled across Australia with leading politicians during election campaigns, interviewing several Australian Prime Ministers. Later, he took on roles as the ABC’s London and Berlin Correspondent, covering Eastern and Central Europe before, during, and after the 1989 revolutions.
Michael conducted historic interviews with figures like Lech Walesa, leader of the Solidarity Free Trade Union Movement, and Vaclav Havel during the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia.
As a “recovering journalist,” Michael now teaches audiences how to deliver great answers in sales conversations, media interviews, and public inquiries. His book, “Great Answers To Tough Questions At Work,” received endorsements from the Chartered Management Institute and praise from the Daily Express.
Michael has spoken on six continents and earned the title of “New Speaker of the Year” from the Academy for Chief Executives. He regularly appears as a commentator on Sky News, the BBC, Al Jazeera, and more, and has presented BBC Five Live’s “Global” program and BBC Radio 4’s Profile program on John Howard.
