Katie Prescott is Technology Business Editor at The Times and co-host of The Times Tech Podcast. Previously, she worked as a BBC Business Presenter and Correspondent across major news platforms.

Through The Times, Katie reaches millions of readers, listeners, and viewers worldwide. She reports on rapid technology change and its impact on business and everyday life, especially artificial intelligence. As a result, the UK Tech Awards named her Tech Commentator of the Year. In addition, she writes a weekly column for The Times’ award-winning business section.

Alongside Sunday Times West Coast Correspondent Danny Fortson, Katie co-hosts The Times Tech Podcast. Each week, they interview tech pioneers while tracking the fast-moving AI revolution. Her guests include senior leaders such as Microsoft’s Satya Nadella and OpenAI’s Sam Altman. These conversations offer rare insight into innovation, leadership, and global tech trends.

Meanwhile, Katie is also an acclaimed author. Her Amazon bestselling book, The Curious Case of Mike Lynch, was published in 2025 to strong reviews.
