Karen rose to public prominence as CEO of Belu, a bottled water social enterprise. When she took over, the company was losing money. Under her leadership, Belu became profitable and donated millions to WaterAid. This support helped over 334,000 people gain access to clean water and decent toilets.
She now leads Expert Impact Speakers and serves on the board of Homes For Good, a housing social enterprise that supports people on low incomes.
Karen is also passionate about sustainability. She teaches “Your Business, One Planet” on Oxford University’s 10,000 Small Businesses programme. During her time at Belu, the company became the first UK drinks brand to meet the British Standard Institute’s PAS 2060 carbon neutrality standard.
