Kaihan Krippendorff is the founder of Outthinker, a global think tank connecting chief strategy, innovation, growth, and transformation officers from major public, private, and Fortune 500 companies.
A former McKinsey consultant, Kaihan has written six books, including the bestsellers Outthink the Competition, Driving Innovation from Within, and Proximity. Thinkers50 and Global Gurus rank him among the top 20 global management thinkers in strategy and innovation.
Kaihan delivers rigorously researched insights and engaging programs. As an innovation catalyst, he has advised leading companies such as Aetna-CVS, JP Morgan, Lockheed Martin, Bank of America, Procter & Gamble, IBM, and Yahoo!. His work has generated more than $3 billion in new annual recurring revenue.
He hosts The Outthinkers Podcast, The Chief Strategy Officer Podcast, and Strategy at Scale. His ideas appear regularly in Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, and other top publications. Kaihan also teaches strategy and innovation at Wharton Executive Education, Florida International University, and NYU, and serves on advisory boards for two tech startups.
He holds a doctorate in strategy, as well as business and engineering degrees from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering, Wharton, Columbia Business School, and London Business School.
Born to a Bangladeshi mother and German father, and married to a Latin American wife, Kaihan embodies global citizenship. He brings a diverse and holistic perspective to every project. A passionate cook, he lives in Miami with his wife, three teenage children, two cats, and a dog.
