Jennifer Medhurst, known as “the imperfect nutritionist,” is a registered nutritionist and author of The 7 Principles of Healthy Eating.
She believes everyone has their own unique way of eating, shaped by individual backgrounds, preferences, and needs. These needs can change daily, so there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition. It’s personal and unique to each person.
Jennifer takes an accessible, evidence-based approach to nutrition. She empowers people with education, helping them make confident choices that suit their bodies. Her goal is to promote long, healthy lives. She encourages a positive, inclusive health message by combining “science-based nutrition with delicious food.” She also inspires others to cook from scratch and enjoy tasty meals.
Jennifer’s journey into nutrition began while studying Law. She faced health issues and sought help from a nutritionist. After seeing rapid improvements, she became passionate about food. She started a health food catering business and a blog to share her recipes.
As the public became overwhelmed with conflicting diet advice, Jennifer decided to deepen her knowledge. She trained at the College for Naturopathic Medicine, earning a distinction in her Nutrition diploma. She then opened her own clinic.
Now, Jennifer shares her recipes on TikTok, Instagram, and her website, reaching over 1.5 million people. She provides quick, healthy, and delicious recipes using common ingredients to help others live healthier lives.
