Graham Davies began his professional speaking career 33 years ago, shortly after becoming President of the Cambridge Union Society.
For 12 years after graduating, he practised law at the London Criminal Bar while delivering after-dinner speeches across multiple countries. His early clients included major corporations like Ford, IBM, Microsoft, Toyota, McKinsey, Deutsche Bank, UBS, HSBC, Mars, and PwC.
By 1998, demand for his after-dinner speeches had soared to over 100 per year. At that point, Graham left the Bar and expanded into keynote speaking, event hosting, and corporate hoaxes.
His impersonations have included a Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, a Royal Navy Rear Admiral, a TQM professor, the Wax Director of Madame Tussauds, and even the lead guitarist of Pink Floyd.
From 1999, he also began offering bespoke presentation coaching for CEOs and politicians. His client list includes 15 British Cabinet Ministers and two Prime Ministers.
Graham’s book, The Presentation Coach, is the UK’s bestselling guide on the subject. It cemented his role as a go-to speech analyst for the BBC, ITV, and Sky News.
He co-founded the UK’s Professional Speaking Association and served on its board for eight years. In 2009, he received both the inaugural Professional Speaking Award of Excellence and the Paul Bridle Award for Lifetime Contribution to the Speaking Industry.
Today, Graham divides his time between coaching, keynotes, and preparing one of his clients to become the next Prime Minister.
