Currently, Paul serves as the Director of Student Experience and Enhancement at the University of Liverpool. He has held visiting lectureships at several leading universities and has guided the careers of thousands of students and graduates. His research focuses on Generation Z, the post-Covid world of work, and the rise of “Zombie Jobs,” which is also the theme of his recent TED talk. He explores techniques for improving inter-generational communication and discusses the role of “Helicopter Parents.” His work has earned him praise from numerous national and international organizations.
Paul has authored several books, reports, and studies, including the best-selling The Graduate Jobs Formula and a popular diary column for the UK’s Institute of Student Employers’ magazine. He is currently working on his new book, The Rise of the Zombie Jobs, which will identify jobs and careers most likely to be lost to AI and robotics and those that are likely to remain safe for now.
