Chris Britton is a forward-thinking thought leader, author, and podcast host who leads the people agenda for some of the world’s biggest brands.
For the past 15 years, Chris has used an empathy-first approach to drive positive change and high performance in organisations like Virgin, Vodafone, River Island, and Reward Gateway. His passion for seeing people as individuals—not just as workers—continues to inspire audiences worldwide. In every talk, he combines groundbreaking research, personal storytelling, humour, and practical next steps to create a powerful, engaging experience.
Growing up during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, Chris developed an early fascination with how people operate under pressure. This curiosity led him to study Criminology and Psychology at Brighton University. From there, his journey into HR began, where he has been driving meaningful change ever since.
At the same time, Chris wanted real-world experience beyond corporate life. In 2015, he joined Sussex Police as a Special Constable and remains an active officer today. This hands-on role, often intense, gives him a unique blend of academic knowledge and frontline experience. His storytelling mixes personal and professional insights, offering audiences a rare, authentic view of society.
When addressing organisational challenges, Chris highlights the unsustainability of “doing more with less.” Instead, he shows how businesses can achieve high performance through genuine appreciation and a people-first mindset. His message is simple yet powerful: less with less, but make it count.
Chris’s personal journey adds even more depth to his talks. After battling post-natal depression following the birth of his first daughter, he confronted years of repressed emotions and identity struggles. Today, he shares these experiences openly, shedding light on the silent battles many people face.
Furthermore, Chris brings a fresh perspective on the changing nature of masculinity and the shift from wellbeing to a “whole being” approach. He challenges audiences to rethink traditional best practices and embrace new ways of thriving in a complex world.
As a speaker, Chris brings energy, thoughtfulness, and authenticity. He cares deeply about people’s wellbeing while fully understanding the commercial realities of business. He delivers insight, joy, and curiosity to every audience, encouraging real transformation. Most importantly, he equips people with proven techniques they can use to create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.
