Charlotte Richardson is an award-winning media professional and sports broadcaster. She has worked in sport for a decade with organisations including the BBC, TalkSport, The Football Association, and Women in Sport.
Charlotte started her career in sports marketing. In recent years, she shifted direction to become a freelance presenter, reporter, and football commentator. In just two years, she became TalkSport’s first female commentator, covering the full football pyramid for both radio and TV.
Charlotte’s broadcasting career began with BBC local radio. She was soon selected to report on the prime-time Saturday show, Final Score. Since then, she has flourished as a presenter, reporter, commentator, and interviewer. She features regularly on TalkSport and TalkSport 2, covering men’s football at all levels as well as the Women’s Super League and Championship.
Alongside her national broadcasting work, Charlotte champions grassroots sport. She travels the country hosting the England Football podcast, In The Box. Closer to home, she plays a key role in Charlton Athletic’s Charlton TV production, hosting live broadcasts, in-person events, and pitch-side presentations at The Valley.
Charlotte loves football, but her passion extends to all sports. You can often hear her sharing sports analysis, updates, and opinions on Times Radio Breakfast.
Even outside of work, Charlotte’s world revolves around sport. She spends any spare time watching, listening to, or reading about it.
