Belinda Parmar OBE is a leading diversity advocate, CEO of The Empathy Business, and Non-Executive Director for the Ministry of Defence. She applies the science of empathy to revolutionize organizational transformation, focusing on leadership, communications, and operations.
She pioneered the Global Empathy Index, featured in the Harvard Business Review, the first to measure empathy and inclusion at scale. Recently, Belinda launched the AI-powered Empathy Index, blending large language models and sentiment analysis with human insight to rank companies based on empathy.
Belinda collaborates with corporations to implement numerous ‘nudges’ and interventions fostering an empathy revolution. Her approach empowers individuals with practical tools to cultivate inclusive cultures, emphasizing belonging, diversity, and courageous leadership.
As Empathy-In-Residence at Barclays, Lloyds, and Centrica, Belinda established Europe’s largest bank’s first Empathy Hub. Selected as a Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum, she presented at Davos in 2019.
Recognized for her contributions, Belinda received an OBE in 2015 for services to women in technology.
