Ann Daniels is a world record holder and one of Britain’s leading explorers. She began her journey as a mother of young triplets with no outdoor experience. Despite this, she was selected from over 200 more experienced women for her first North Pole expedition.
From these modest beginnings, Ann went on to conquer the South Pole and, in 2002, became one of the first women to ski to both the North and South Poles with an all-women team. This record remains unbeaten.
Ann has endured temperatures as low as -50°C and faced polar bears, sledging over 2,000 miles in some of the harshest environments on Earth. She has completed more than 10 polar expeditions, spending over 400 days on ice. Her achievements underscore the value of meticulous planning, hard work, and a positive attitude in extreme conditions.
As a polar guide and ice leader for the Catlin Arctic surveys, Ann exemplifies the power of effective leadership, teamwork, and self-belief. She has collaborated with NASA, the European Space Agency, and scientific institutions worldwide, tracking ice and gathering data to understand human impact on the environment.
Ann tailors each presentation to deliver key messages specific to the event. She ensures that the skills and lessons learned in extreme environments resonate with her audience. With over 20 years of speaking experience, Ann engages audiences naturally and genuinely cares about meeting their needs.
